Rail Handling

JBS Cranes & Accessories built this state of the art rail welding facility in Stockton CA which is the first of its kind in the world.
railhandle_small
JBS Cranes & Accessories did a design/build turnkey installation for this “first in the world” state of the art rail welding facility. The facility takes 480’ sticks of railroad rail and welds them into 1920’ ribbons which are then loaded onto special rail cars and laid in place in the field. The trusses are 200’ free span with the bottom chord being 40’ in the air. Each of the 8 trusses is designed to support 20 ton live load. The hoist system is plc controlled with synchronized speed control with our “auto-correct on the fly” feature in case any of the hoists get out of sync.
