In 2011 JBS had a customer with a unique requirement for something akin to a cross between an overhead crane and an elevator. None of our current crane suppliers wanted anything to do with personnel carriers so JBS developed an alliance with a custom elevator manufacturer (www.towerelevators.com) who not only carries a full line of regular elevators, but also does custom elevators and even has a cost effective and safer rack and pinion style of elevation (in lieu of standard cable systems). Concept drawings of the custom system are shown below but many types of elevators are available.
